NIGEL HORNBY.
Born in England 1944.
Education:
University of London 1963-66, studied English Literature, History and Latin.
University of Dublin, Trinity college 1966-68, Higher Diploma in Education.
Trained to be an Alexander teacher, 1980-83, at the Creative Teaching Centre, London, directed by Walter Carrington,
one of Alexander’s assistants.
Experience:
School teacher in London 1968-70, and Paris in 1970-72.
Founded and ran a language school in Paris in 1972-80.
I came to Norway 1983; was the first permanent Alexander teacher in the country, and have been teaching in Oslo since then.
Member of:
the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique,
STAT; and Alexander Technique International, ATI, where I am qualified as
sponsor.
